Variables are user-dependent functions that will change its data based on the users’ nature.

This is how the structure of variable inside the platform looks like,

Some variables are pre-defined inside the SilFer Bots platform and they are,

  • First Name,
  • Last Name,
  • Email,
  • Phone,
  • Profile Image,
  • Locale,
  • Time Zone,
  • User ID,
  • Page Name,
  • Page ID

All the above variables are given by default inside the SilFer Bots and these details are pulled out from Facebook itself.

Like we said before, variables are user-defined functions and the values changes from one person to another.

Let’s take a look at the “First Name” variable as an example. If a messenger subscriber has name “Barveen Kumar” then the first name will be considered as “Barveen” and for “Vasanth Kumar” the first name will be ”Vasanth.”

To use variables on the messenger chat flow, use curly brackets { } on the text block to set the required variable for your chat flow.

When you start typing the curly brackets {{ to get the list of the variables you had in the platform.

On that variable list apart from the default variable from SilFer Bots, you will find additional variables. They are nothing but the custom fields that you created for storing the user details.

Hope this article helps you to know about the “Variables” feature on the SilFer Bots platform.
